Indications

• Shao Yang Syndrome (少阳病): This is a unique TCM pattern of illness that affects the interaction between the liver and gallbladder, presenting as alternating chills and fever, fullness in the chest, irritability, and a bitter taste in the mouth.
• Common Symptoms: Fever, chills, chest and rib-side fullness, nausea, dizziness, lack of appetite, irritability, and a bitter taste in the mouth.

Pharmacological Actions

• Release the Exterior and Relieve Fever: Bupleurum and Scutellaria work together to dispel pathogenic factors from the body.
• Harmonize Shao Yang: Bupleurum, in particular, helps to regulate the interaction between the liver and gallbladder, improving the smooth flow of Qi and resolving disharmony.
• Tonify Qi and Strengthen the Spleen: Ginseng and Atractylodes improve overall energy levels and digestion, addressing the underlying weakness in the body.
• Clear Heat and Resolve Dampness: Scutellaria helps clear internal heat and resolve excess moisture, improving symptoms such as bloating and nausea.

Dosage & Administration

• Dosage: Typically, 1 packet (approximately 9g) per dose, 2-3 times a day.
