1. Who we are

Dr Acupuncture is a trading name used by a number of Irish companies that operate clinics within the Dr Acupuncture clinic network.

WDZ Partnership Limited operates the Dr Acupuncture head office and manages central advertising, online enquiries and the initial allocation of enquiries to the appropriate clinic.

This Privacy Notice explains how WDZ Partnership Limited and the relevant Dr Acupuncture clinic operator handle personal data collected through online enquiries and advertising lead forms.

2. Information we collect

When you submit an enquiry or advertising lead form, we may collect:

  • Your email address, if requested;

  • The clinic location or service in which you are interested;

  • Your preferred contact method or appointment time;

  • Your consent and marketing preferences;

  • Information about the form, advertisement or campaign through which you contacted us; and

Our advertising lead forms are not intended for collecting detailed medical information. Please do not include symptoms, diagnoses, medical records or other sensitive health information in an advertising lead form.

If you decide to book or receive treatment, we may need to collect additional information separately. Any patient or treatment information will be handled in accordance with our clinical confidentiality and data-protection procedures.

3. How we collect your information

We collect personal data:

  • Directly from you when you complete a form, contact us or request a callback;

  • Through Google Lead Forms;

  • Through Meta Instant Forms on Facebook or Instagram; and

  • Through our website, booking system or other communication channels.

You can withdraw your marketing consent at any time by:

Withdrawing marketing consent will not affect appointment confirmations, replies to your enquiry or other service-related communications.

7. Who we share information with

WDZ Partnership Limited may share your enquiry with the Dr Acupuncture company that operates the clinic or service you selected.

The relevant clinic operator may be Aura Life Limited, Dublin Healthcare Limited or another operator specifically identified to you at the time of booking.

​

Once the relevant clinic operator receives and uses your information to arrange or provide services, it will normally process that information as a separate data controller and will be responsible for its own appointment, treatment, payment and patient records.

We may also share personal data, where necessary, with:

  • Authorised Dr Acupuncture employees, practitioners and administrative staff;

  • Website, booking, email, telephone and IT service providers;

  • Google and Meta in connection with advertising lead forms;

  • Customer relationship management or lead-management providers;

  • Accountants, insurers, solicitors and other professional advisers; and

  • Regulators, courts or public authorities where disclosure is legally required.

We do not sell personal information.

8. International transfers

Some technology and advertising service providers may process information outside the European Economic Area.

Where we are responsible for an international transfer, we will use an appropriate legal safeguard, such as an adequacy decision or Standard Contractual Clauses, where required by applicable data-protection law.

9. How long we keep information

If an enquiry does not result in an appointment or ongoing relationship, we normally retain the lead information for no longer than six months after our last meaningful contact with you.

If you become a patient or customer, relevant information may become part of our appointment, transaction or clinical records and may be retained for a longer period where necessary for treatment, accounting, insurance, legal or regulatory purposes.

Marketing consent records may be retained while the consent remains valid. We may also retain a minimal suppression record after an opt-out so that we can respect your request not to receive further marketing.

We securely delete or anonymise information when it is no longer required.

10. Your data-protection rights

11. Automated decision-making

Dr Acupuncture does not use lead-form information to make solely automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal data against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, loss or destruction.
